Fashion Thoughts - Kim K and High Waisted Jeans

A few of you may know that I'm going through the process of shedding a lot of weight (again) and it's been such a rollercoaster ride.  When I struggle I have to focus and think about what my goals are and what it is I want to achieve.
Besides optimum health and all the other saintly things I could spout out, I do want to be able to wear myself a pair of high waisted jeans and actually look good.
I could not possibly pass the look off right now considering my abundance of chub and unshapely butt.  And I always thought that high waisted jeans were really for tall stick thin girls.  Tall perhaps but Kim K proves to me that even the more voluptuous kind can give it a go.  Is there hope for us mere mortals?

I came across these photos from an old article in The Daily Mail.  Here Kim looks amazing and the article talks about how wonderful Kim looked in them while Jessica Simpson didn't necessarily do them any favours.

I don't know about you but I think this is just a bad angle, right?  I mean Jessica isn't Kim K but she is no fruit cake!  (I wouldn't mind looking like her ><)

So I've come to the conclusion that shapely women CAN wear high waisted jeans (well Lord, you can wear anything you like but does it look good?)  No one wants to risk a camel toe.  Or perhaps you need to be Kim K and look sexy in anything, even a trash bag.

Ah Kim K, one of my "I-would-if-I-was-a-man-or-lesbian" women :)

What do you think of high waisted jeans?

Peace,

Cherry

Honestly? I don't like high-waisted pants like that on anyone.

They're fantastic if you've got the right boo-tey for them, but who's to say that what looks great on one person might look like poop on another? Really it's all about how the person carries themselves that pulls off the look or any look for that matter.

:)

I love high waisted jeans. Any body will look good in them and they accentuate the curves of a woman. It's a beautiful thing :)

HIgh waisted jeans look good on big, medium and thin girls. They make your legs look twice as long, and in my book thats good. Why would anyone wear jeans that ride down their ass all day long? I am DONE with low waist jeans. DONE DONE DONE. I bought a mid rise levis jean not too long ago, that turned out to be more low rise then I wanted. I thought they looked cute in the store, and I love Levis, but they stretched, and now the crotch is hanging low. I think from now on Im only going to wear only jeans that go to my natural waist. What a concept; jeans that don't fight your anatomy! Sorry about the rant. But I think that Jessica looks great in them. Of course she doesn't look skinny, but the photog was trying to make her look bad on purpose. I think its a shame magazines even do that whole right/wrong thing. Maybe we should all boycott magazines that do a worst dress list. its rude, and its not how women should act to one another.
